Weight
The Marmot Superalloy is one of the lightest 2 person tents on the market that includes polls, with a weight of 1226 grams (without groundsheet). The Ripstop Nylon fabric makes this a highly durable and waterproof tent that is easy to pitch on any terrain. This is also considered to be one of the most spacious tents on the market, and highly recommended for taller hikers.

Weight
The Superalloy is one of the few tents that comes in at just 1226 grams for two people that includes poles. This translates to a simpler and roomier tent than similar lightweight tent options. Unlike most tents that use nylon, Marmot opt for a an extremely light Ripstop Polyester fabric (46g/sqm) for the floor. They do however stick with nylon for the fly (38g/sqm), as it tends to fair better against UV rays and is lighter than polyester.
Durability
The Superalloy is a 3-season tent designed to stand up to bad weather conditions. The Ripstop Nylon flysheet is designed to stand up to high winds without stretching or degrading to UV rays, while the higher denier floor means you can pitch anywhere.
Rain Protection
Marmot use a strong Ripstop Nylon flysheet treated with silicone and polyurethane, which is the industry standard and helps prevent stretch in big rains. The sealed seams add more rain protection and prevent the tent from getting soaked when the weather prevails for days on end.
Space Capacity
Compared with other lightweight two-person tents, this tent is widely said to be one of the most spacious on the market. However, this tent isn’t just spacious when it comes to length, but also height for those days where you are stuck inside to wait out the rain and needing to move around.
Comfort
The Superalloy is designed to be easy to set up, with reflective printing on fly for extra visibility, color-coded “easy pitch” clips, poles, and fly, and lots of pockets and vestibules for gear storage. However, the standout feature of this tent is the above average space capacity inside.
